Ear infection

Ear infection

Posted by: Ellen F.

7 mo. old male labradoodle (half standard poodle, half yellow lab.) Constant ear infections. Symptoms: shakes head side to side, resulting in flapping of ears. Craves our rubbing his ears. Discharge smells cheesy, and looks dark brown. Tried pulsatilla 30c as well as hepar. sulph. calc. 30c to no avail. Help, please! Vet says that it’s yeast, but I don’t want the pooch on the anti-fungal/antibiotic seesaw.

Ear conditions usually responds very well to homeopathic treatment, so it is definitely worth trying. You however need to take a very detailed case to find the right remedy. The discharge points more to Pulsatilla or one of the Kali Remedies (Kali Bich, Kali Sulph).

It may be best to have a one-to-one consultation to ensure a proper case analysis, prescription and case management. Please be so kind to a homeopath in your area.
